When replacing the reverse cable, it is highly recommended to also change the cable gland (billet nut + half-ring + grommet kit). This small sealing kit, often overlooked, ensures the cable's retention and watertightness where it passes through the hull. A worn or cracked cable gland can cause water ingress and accelerate wear on the new cable. Take advantage of the intervention to replace everything at once.
