Don't forget to replace the stuffing box at the same time!

When replacing the steering cable, it is highly recommended to also change the stuffing box (billet nut kit + half-ring + grommet). This small, often overlooked sealing kit ensures the cable's secure hold and watertight seal where it passes through the hull. A worn or cracked stuffing box can lead to water ingress and accelerate wear on the new cable. Take advantage of the intervention to replace everything at once.
