Description

The fuel level sensor (fuel gauge, or fuel sender) is the part that transmits the real-time fuel level to your Sea-Doo jet ski's on-board LCD display. A faulty sensor results in a stuck gauge, an incorrect reading, or an unexpected ran-out-of-fuel situation in the middle of a ride. This replacement part, OEM reference 275500780, is designed to restore reliable and accurate fuel level readings, whether for preventive maintenance at the start of the season or as a replacement following a confirmed failure.

Why Replace the Fuel Level Sensor?

The level sensor is constantly immersed in fuel and subjected to repeated thermal cycles. Over time, the float can stick, contacts oxidize, and resistance drifts, making the on-board gauge completely unusable. Ignoring these signs can lead to running out of fuel at sea, a potentially dangerous situation.

  • Gauge stuck on a fixed value (full or empty)
  • Indication jumping or oscillating erratically
  • Low fuel light constantly on despite a full tank
  • Unexpected ran-out-of-fuel despite the gauge showing fuel

We recommend checking the sensor at each spring startup or after 50 hours of navigation, and replacing it at the first sign of any symptom to avoid any immobilization during navigation.
