Why Replace the Intercooler?

A damaged heat exchanger, often leaking, can disrupt intake air cooling and engine operation. A loss of power requires a diagnostic: it does not automatically identify the intercooler as the cause.

  • Confirmed leak or loss of sealing during inspection.
  • Visible corrosion or deterioration of the heat exchanger.
  • Identified blockage of the cooling circuit.
  • Performance drop requiring inspection of the intake and cooling systems.

Check the condition of the fittings and the sealing during maintenance of the supercharging system. Replace the heat exchanger after confirming its failure; no systematic replacement interval is established here.
