Why Replace the Fuel Pump Strainer?

In a marine environment, fuel pump strainers clog much more quickly than in automotive use, due to impurities in tanks and condensation. A clogged filter reduces fuel flow, causes engine hiccups, and can eventually damage the fuel pump.

  • Hiccups or engine cuts at high RPM
  • Hard starting or engine stalling
  • Gradual loss of power
  • Preventive replacement recommended every season

It is recommended to replace the fuel pump strainer at the beginning of each season or after a prolonged storage period. Ordering in packs of 5 or 10 sets allows for maintenance over several seasons or multiple vessels.
